Since being natural for 6+ years now, I've come to realize that using all kind of different products in your hair is not good. I admit I was guilty of that at one time, lol but I finally found my staples hair products. When you begin your hair journey it is so hard to find products that will actually help your hair, like gosh!
There are some that I noticed many natural hair guru's use that are OK but sometimes can be overhyped. The products I've found that worked pretty well with my hair were, Shea Moisture's JBCO Line. For example, their shampoo, conditioner, leave-in conditioner, are great for first timers, no matter what hair type you have.
If you're anything like me, you know that finding the perfect products for your curls can be a journey of trial and error. Today, I want to share my personal hair care story and the amazing brands that have become my ride-or-die companions on this adventure. I remember the days when I struggled to embrace my curls. I'd tried countless products that promised the world but often left my hair feeling heavy, greasy, or worse – dry as a desert. It was time to make a change and give my curls the love they deserved.

As well as this leave which is honestly right now my absolute favorite!
TGIN: Miracle RepairX Protective Leave in Conditioner
In the past year and a half I was experiencing terrible frizz and dry hair( was dealing with using hard water at the time, filter was not that great either. Which will be mentioned in a future post). I found this TGIN leave in conditioner next to the sample deep conditioners and thought I should try it. If your dealing with split ends and single strand knots too often than your use to, then my recommendation is to use this exact TGIN Miracle Repair line.
Natural hair care isn't just about styling – it's about nourishing and recovering as well. So dont be too hard on yourself when trying to figure out what will work. For first timers just look for a water based leave in(without sulfates or parabens) and a cream(which this one down below is fantastic for beginners in my opinion)and a oil to seal it all in. Do this 2-3 a week and make sure to deep condition your hair bi-weekly its SUPER important. We as naturals need to make sure we have enough moisture and the right protein to keep our hair thriving.

Not all hair products are created equal, and what works for one person may not work for another. Understanding your hair type—whether it's straight, wavy, curly, or coily—can guide you in choosing products tailored to your specific needs. Haircare is not one-size-fits-all, so experiment to find what suits you best. Achieving your desired hair goals takes time. Be patient with your hair and the products you use. Results may not be instantaneous, but with consistent care, you're likely to see improvements over time.
